Welcome to St Cyprian's

Welcome to St Cyprian's Greek Orthodox Primary Academy

St. Cyprian’s Greek Orthodox Primary Academy is a larger than average primary with 455 pupils on roll, with a 52 place Nursery. This school is unique; it is the only Greek Orthodox Primary academy in the UK. The academy is located in the north of the London Borough of Croydon. The school has, since its inception in 2000, a close and strong partnership with the Greek and Cypriot Governments through the provision of teachers of the Greek Language.

STRONG FAMILY SCHOOL - St. Cyprian’s has a strong caring and nurturing culture, this is very important in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our school and the wider community, where there is a tangible feel of everyone working together as a tightly knit family and where achievements are encouraged and celebrated and relationships are highly productive. Teachers know their pupils very well and they are looked on as an individual, as a result, pupils approach their work with good levels of independence and enthusiasm across a broad and balanced curriculum. Opportunities for personalised learning approaches, well-being of pupils and parents partnering with the school are developing well.

EXTRA CURRICULAR PROVISION - The excellent curriculum motivates pupils because it not only takes into account their interests and aspirations but is enriched through a range of clubs and extra-curricular activities that many pupils enjoy. These include: drama, arts and crafts, singing super stars, archery, football, Zumba, multisports, sewing, basketball, street dance and gymnastics. These activities raise pupils’ self-esteem, enable them to experience success and develop pupil motivation which impacts on pupils’ learning.
