Fantasy

This week we have been:

Learning about superheroes by reading ‘Supertato’. We had lots of fun with naughty Evil Pea. We drew our own super potatoes and made our own sweet potatoes using potatoes.

In maths this week we have been thinking about adding two numbers together. We used ladybirds to help us do this. We then said the calculation when we had finished. Please explore the ladybird game on top marks at home.

This week we continued our learning about the summer. We explored things that you can only do during the summer that you can’t really do during winter and autumn. One of those things was playing with water inside and outside. We have been exploring full, empty and half full using special containers and pip-pets in the water tray.

This week we have also visited our new classroom and met some of our new friends we will have when we go to reception. We have also been to meet our new teachers and shared a story with them. We really enjoyed our time in our new classes.

Over the last few days we will be:

• Exploring trolls through stories.
• Using treasure to help us count jewels and think about money.
• Exploring castles, knights and continuing with pirates.
• Reading the story, Daniel and the lions den.
• Visiting our new teacher in our new classroom.

Messages home

As you are aware it’s coming to the end of our year with your children. We are doing our very best to send home as much as we can with the children so please don’t be alarmed if our classroom is looking a little bit bare at the moment.

We will be having a class party, however I am unsure when at the moment. We are happy to provide the food for the children so there is no need for any donations, thank you.
