Animals- The tiger who came to tea

This week we have been:

Reading a story called ‘The tiger who came to tea’. We have been acting out the story in the sand and role-play house, building homes for a tiger, making food for the tigers tea, designing tea pots and making our own tigers. What would you feed a tiger if he came to tea?

In maths we been exploring 3D shapes. We blew bubbles which made a sphere, we made cubes/cuboids pyramids out of ploydron and made cone party hats!

In RE we have been learning about why we light a candle when we go to church, we also lit a candle to see what it would feel like.

In science this week we have been exploring up and down and seeing what raisins do when we put them in still water and fizzy water, we then used corn and cranberries too! We also explored up and down during our PE lesson.

Next week we will be:

  • Introducing tradition tales, focusing on the big bad wolf.
  • Learning about symmetry.
  • Reading a bible story called ‘Jonah and the whale’.
  • Learning about caterpillars and butterflies.

Thank you for your ongoing support, Mrs Herne
