Fantasy – Pirates

Over the past few days we have been:

Our theme this week was pirates. We started watching Peter Pan one last week and all the children requested that they watch Peter Pan 2 ‘Return to Neverland’. We have been watching a bit each day and the children have really enjoyed the adventures of Captain Hook and Peter Pan.

In maths this week have been thinking about money. We have be counting how many coins are in the treasure chest and solving simple money problems. Use this link so you can explore money at home.

This week we enjoyed our last PE session of the year. We chose what we wanted to do. We played the traffic light game, the bean game, we did some races, we played with the parachute and we played at duck, duck goose.

In science this week we have been thinking about volcanoes. We have been using Coke and Mentos to make our own volcano outside!

We have been preparing ourselves for our move to reception. We have been talking about things we are looking forward too and things that we are worried about.

We also enjoyed our class party together, we danced, eat food and played party games.

We would like to thank you for an amazing year and for your lovely gifts. We have had a great year with your children and we hope that you have a very enjoyable and relaxing summer holiday. We look forward to seeing you and the children in September when they are in reception.
