Dear Santorini and Crete
During the first week back (after the half term) you have showed great commitment to your learning.
The first week of Autumn 2 term was full of powerful writing in our English lessons, as we are learning how to enrich our descriptions with expanded noun phrases and verbs in the past tense.
In Maths we are learning how to find a part using subtraction and to explain our working out using the correct mathematical vocabulary.
In Art we are mixing colours to explore secondary colours and to understand how colours give life to our paintings.
In Science we are investigating the fascinating world of the microhabitats and in music we are learning the power of tempo and its role in storytelling and musical productions.
This week you will not have any writing tasks because we had our first school trip at St. Paul’s Cathedral on Friday which lasted until late afternoon. Your behaviour during this visit was excellent and we have decided to let you rest and enjoy your weekend.
If there are worksheets in your home learning books or any tasks on ed shed that you have not completed yet you could finish those until next Wednesday, if not then you will not have anything else to do until next Friday.
Have a lovely day.
Mrs Tsiama and Miss Hopper
