Kefallonia 27.06.16

Welcome back!

This week in Kefallonia we are going to be learning all about the Jungle in preparations for our trip to London Zoo! As a reminder, the trip will be on the 7th of July, please get in touch if you require a letter.

We will be reading all sorts of fun jungle books such as “Rumble in the Jungle” and “Monkey Puzzle”. We will also be thinking about what a habitat is and why not all habitats suit every animal.

In maths we are going to collect rainwater and consider the idea of capacity. Using different sized containers, we will see if they are full, empty or half full, and then consider how we can measure this.

We will also be practising away for our Class assembly. This will be on the 5th July so don’t forget to book the morning off work! The children will be sent home with their words this week so please practise! The children will also be able to dress up as spacemen, robots or aliens, so if you feel like getting creative, they will be allowed to wear a costume for the assembly. If they have an acting part, a letter detailing the costume they need will be put in their book bags.
