The Three Billy Goat Gruff
This week we have been learning about:
The story of ‘The Three Billy Goat’s Gruff’. We have been using puppets to tell the story and made our own bridges for the goats to use. We then compared our bridges and spoke about which one was big and which one was small.

We have exploring floating and sinking, we played a game online and had a guess at which items we think would sink in the water and which ones we think would float. We then tried it out ourselves!!

In RE this week we spoke about God’s house, the church. We know where we go to talk to Jesus and that the church is always open for us go into. God’s doors are always open and he always welcomes us.
In PE this week we have been learning how to throw and catch. We have been using stretch balls and strings to help us.
We have started practicing our songs for our Christmas nativity, ask the children if they can sing the songs to you at home!
Next week we will be learning about:
- The gingerbread man story.
- Continuing counting to 10.
- Why we light a candle in church.
- Making our own Gingerbread men.
How you can help at home:
- Please use the links above and recap the learning from class.
- Practice throwing and catching at home, start with bigger balls and work to the smaller ones!
- Explore floating and sinking while your children are in the bath.
- Continue practicing name writing and counting up to 10.
Home learning books and reading records – Its been great looking at your child’s home learning and reading records! You can bring them in when you are ready, just pop them in the yellow and green baskets and we will change books and mark homework each day.
Please keep the proud clouds coming in, please cut them out and pin them to the board outside. We do have some outside on the table when you need more. We really enjoy sharing this moments with the children, please look out for their special stickers.
REMINDER
As you are aware the nursery time is from 8:40-11:50. We take the register at 8:50, any children that arrive after that time we will marked as late. Please ensure the children arrive between 8:40-8:50 to avoid this happening. This also means we can start our day as soon as the children are all in.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
