Maths

Today we will be starting to learn about 3d shapes. Please share the PowerPoint below with your child, and tell them the names of each shape.

After watching the PowerPoint we would like you to go on a shape hunt with your child in your home and record the shapes that you see on the worksheet below.

Science

This week we will be thinking about floating and sinking. What does this mean ? . Show your child an example of an object that floats and also of one that sinks. Please share the poster with your child and talk about what they think would float and sink.

When you have talked about all the objects on the poster please complete the worksheet below. Maybe you can ask your child to place the objects on the sheet according to where they think they belong. Then you can test each object in water and then stick it on the correct place  on the sheet.
