Hello Spetses and Zakynthos,
We hope you are keeping well and safe. Please continue to access the sites and links online to help you with your learning at home. Well done for completing your activities and working hard! Keep it up! : )
You can find this week’s daily learning activities below.
In Numeracy you will be revising doubling and halving numbers to 100 using partitioning. You will be focusing on describing, naming and sorting 3-D shapes using a Carroll diagram and lastly, you will be counting faces, vertices and edges of pyramids.
In Literacy you will be listening to a reading of ‘The Night Shimmy’ by Gwen Strauss and Anthony Browne, answering a set of questions about the story and creating expanded noun phrases using these when describing a picture from The Night Shimmy. You will also be listening to a reading of ‘Silly Billy’ by Anthony Browne, writing a letter from a worry doll to Billy, suggesting what he should do to stop worrying. Next, you will be comparing and contrasting the stories. Then you will be writing to an imaginary child suggesting what they do to avoid being scared of going to bed. Finally, you will be listening to a reading of ‘Voices in the Park’ by Anthony Browne. You will be learning about the simple form of the past tense and using the simple past tense to write a recount by one of the dogs in the story about their day in the park as well as the progressive or continuous form of the past tense and using examples of this tense form in an email written by one of the children from the story.
Have a good week and look after yourselves!
