Spetses week ending 13.06.25
In English, we started a narrative unit, our focus text is Alice in Wonderland. Over the week, we wrote about the character’s journey, using similar style as Ross Collins. We used role- play to explore the speech in the text and to write dialogue with the accurate punctuation. We ended the week with planning a setting description.
In Maths, we converted between analogue and digital times, converted between 12- and 24-hour clock times, reviewed hours, minutes and seconds, and finally found and used durations.
In RE, year 4 focused on the importance of sharing what we have with others and a big question on ‘Places of worship important to people?’. Year 3, focused on respecting leaders and a big question on ‘Why do we pray?’
Home Learning
Please see the links below for this week’s home learning.
I have included a spelling sheet as extra support.
Remember to keep working on times table knowledge and number bonds – the basis for the more complex mathematics.
For handwriting we follow the Nelson scheme, it supports correct formation of letters and helps to keep cursive writing neat and legible.
