Week ending 25.04.25

This week in English, we began a two week unit based around the text ‘Hermelin the Detective Mouse’. We started with predictions and making inferences about the text, we wrote about the main character, wrote book reviews, conducted interviews of the key characters and wrote thank you notes to Hermelin.

In maths, we continued with the unit on shape; comparing angles, identify different types of lines (parallel, perpendicular), identifying different types of triangles (isosceles, scalene, equilateral) and identifying quadrilaterals.

In History, we started a unit on the Ancient Egyptians; identifying the time period, identifying other civilizations alive at the same time and looking at the physical features of Egypt. We also began to look at their beliefs and to identify the Ancient Egyptian gods.
