Year 6 Week Ending 15.11.24
We have had an extremely busy week!
It was anti-bullying week. In class, the children spoke about what we mean by respect and how we can show it in different scenarios. We then created acrostic poems and took part in Odd Socks Day.
In Maths, we continued our learning on fractions, focusing on ordering and comparing them based on the denominator.
In English, we focused on contrast in our novel ‘Carrie’s War’ and what impact this has on us the reader.
In Science, we continued our learning on the circulatory system and the heart and had a go at a heart dissection! All the children were extremely brave.
Finally, we went on our trip to the Imperial War Museum. All the children had an amazing time and learnt so many new facts about WW2 and also showed off their own knowledge.
