Zakynthos Class Home Learning – Week Ending 21.11.25

Dear Parents, Carers,

This week in English, we finished the unit Fables (Narrative) and the children had the opportunity to plan, rehearse orally, edit and publish their own fable story ensuring that they had a good moral ending.

In Maths, we started a new unit, Multiplication and Division. Their first lesson was based on ‘Multiplication – equal groups’, then we looked at ‘Use arrays’, ‘Multiples of 2’ and ‘Multiples of 5 and 10’.

In RE, we looked at recognising that Communion is a Sacrament of love and that Orthodox Christians fast before receiving Communion. We also looked at the story of  The Last Supper.

What a Fantastic Assembly! The children worked hard to produce an outstanding assembly about the Island of Zakynthos (Our Class Name). They have been complimented, praised and some people even felt touched by their performance, I can understand why. I am so proud of them and I cannot wait until their next assembly based on what they have been learning.

Please find the home learning attached using the link below and we have also included a spelling sheet as extra support.
