Zakynthos Class Home Learning – Week Ending 27.02.26

Dear Parent, Carer,

This week in English we started a new unit called ‘Personal Narrative’ and they first started to look at identifying themes in stories. Next we focused on a few devices (similes and the Power of three) with others to follow, that the children will use  at the end of the unit, where they will write their own personal narrative based on a real life, memorable experience.

In Maths, we are completing the end of the Fractions unit, in Science we started a new unit called ‘Light and Shadow’ and looked at various sources of light and in PSHE we had a lesson based understanding the role we can take in an emergency situation. We focused on the important steps needed to deal with a situation and how to assist in an emergency by correctly calling the right service for help and to know the information that they need to give to emergency services if they are called to an incident.
