Christmas
This week we have been
Continuing our Christmas learning. As you can imagine we have been practicing a lot this week ready for our nativity on Friday. We hope you made it and enjoyed the performance! We also enjoyed our Christmas lunch together!
This week we have been writing letters to Father Christmas. We have been thinking about what we would like him to bring us and we posted it in the postbox.
We have been reading the ‘Gingerbread man’. We have been reading the story and retelling the story using the props, we have been making our own gingerbread men on the play-dough table, drawing around ourselves and turning ourselves into the gingerbread men and we have been counting gingerbread men in the maths area. Next week we hope to make our own gingerbread men.
Our rhyme this week was Little Jack Horner. We have not had a chance to do this rhyme this week but we will be exploring it next week, please still read it with your children.
In maths this week we have been revisiting numbers 0 to 10. We have been using Numberblocks and we have been practicing writing the numbers.
Next week we will be
- Continuing our Christmas learning and celebrations.
- Making gingerbread men.
- Revisiting numbers 0-10.
- Learning about Judaism.
