Easter

This week we have been:

Learning about Easter by reading the Holy week story. We have learnt about Palm Sunday, Holy Monday, Holy Tuesday and Holy Wednesday so far, we will be continuing this learning next week. We have been role-playing each day and talking about the story. We have been making lots Easter things ready for us to take home! We have been making Easter bags, Easter baskets, eggcups, epitaphons and our Easter cards. We had lots of fun this week making Easter cookies, we shaped them like bunnies we hope the children enjoyed them.

 

In maths this week we re-visited our flat 2-D shapes learning. We played a quiz on the board to see if we could name the shape that was hidden, we all did really well and we were able to name all of the shapes! We have also been learning the number 20 using the Numberblocks.

We have been learning about and celebrating Mother’s Day this week. We have been thinking about all of the ladies and females that are in our lives that we love and care for. We have been thinking about all  the things they do for us, we have been busy making Mother’s Day  cards and we enjoyed learning the special Mother’s Day song!

Next week we will:

• Continue our learning about Easter and celebrating Jesus coming back to life.
• Exploring 3-D shapes

Messages home

We break up for our Easter holidays on Friday 4th April. All nursery children will finish at 11:50am, the rest of the school finish at 2:15pm.
