Ithaca Class week ending 11.10.24

This week in Ithaca…

In Maths, we have focused on adding 4 digit numbers with no exchange, one exchange and more than one exchange. The children were able to use the columnar method to work out each calculation.

In English, we have completed our big write which was to write a newspaper report on the arrival of the Windrush. The children were able to proofread and edit their work before writing the published piece.

In Science, we have recognised producers, prey and predators in food chains and were able to explain population changes using scientific ideas.

For our ART lesson next week, please bring in one of the following:

• Clean recyclable plastic
• Bubble wrap
• Polystyrene packages
• Cardboard rolls
