People who help us – Supermarket
(Photos to follow on Monday!)
This week we have been:
Learning about the jobs people do in a supermarket. We have been playing supermarkets and sorting out different foods in the water tray. we have also been writing our own shopping lists and talking about the foods that we would buy from the shops. We read the stories ‘Supermarket Zoo’ and ‘Maisie goes shopping’ and looked at non-fiction books.
In maths this week we have been thinking about counting how many coins we need and how many 1p coins we have when we buy our food. We have also been learning about the number seven.
In RE this week we have been learning about remembrance. we have made our own poppies and a wreath for the remembrance assembly.
in science this week we have been exploring wet and dry. we watched Kit and Pup and then we explored what happens to materials when they are wet and dry. we explored if materials could be used if they were wet and dry
Next week we will be:
- Learning about the post office.
- Exploring Hickory Dickory Dock.
- Learning the number eight.
- Learning about the church and what is inside a church.
Messages Home
We really enjoy sharing the children’s learning that they have been doing at home. Please ensure that the children return their home learning and if they do anything you are proud of please send us a proud crowd so we can celebrate this in class.
Thank you for your support, Mrs Herne and Mrs Cini
