Zakynthos Home Learning

Another interesting week in Zakynthos we enjoyed finishing off all of our units for this half term and taking part in quizzes to see what we could remember.

We wrote stories in English about a resilient character who never gives up. Lots of the children wrote with a good level of detail and are beginning to understand the importance of self editing.

In maths we have been continuing our learning on using the column method and lots of us have enjoyed being challenged by using the column method and having to exchange across 10’s and 100’s.

In History we brought together everything we have learnt about Nelson Mandela and created our own fact file.

In science we made posters about how our bones help us to move and the nutrients that our bodies need to keep working and stay healthy.

We are all excited to see what next half term brings us.

Please see this weeks home learning below, including a project for over the half term.

Thank you to those parents that booked to come and see more for parents evening. If you did not manage to come and make an appointment, please do come and see me after school and we can arrange an alternative time for us to meet.

A reminder that our class assembly has been moved and will now take place on 20th November.

Have a restful half term and look forward to seeing you all in a weeks time.

Please also keep in mind individual and sibling photo’s will be on the first day back at school Monday 3rd November.
