Year 5 (Samos) Week ending 06.11.26
Welcome back to a new half term in Samos Class!
In Maths, the children completed their work on multiplication and division by multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1,000 and exploring multiples of 10, 100 and 1,000.
In English, the children explored cinquain poetry and wrote their own poems inspired by World War I, using carefully chosen vocabulary to create vivid imagery.
In RE, the children began a new unit on the Bible. They learnt how it is organised, located the Old Testament and New Testament, and practised finding books and scripture references.
In Science, the children started their new topic on Properties and Changes of Materials. They investigated the property of hardness, testing and comparing materials to discover how suitable they are for different purposes.
