All about Africa – 23.01.26

Dear Parents,

This week we have been learning all about Africa. We read the book ‘Handa’s Surprise’ and children had the opportunity to sequence the events of the story using visuals. We also talked about what fruits and animals we can find in Africa. Children created African sunset paintings and really enjoyed tasting Jollof rice, a rice dish from West Africa, made by Mrs Woode.

During RE, we explored the religion of Buddhism and the importance of this religion.

In Maths, we learnt about different 3D shapes and their properties as well as explored complex patterns.
