All about Space – 30.01.26

Dear Parents,

This week we have been busy learning all about Space. We read the book ‘Whatever Next’ and children had to look at the book cover and think about what might happen next and make a prediction. They used shorts sentences to write about their prediction.

We explored what is space like, we looked at the planets and what is like like in space. Children also used their imagination to create their own rocket using junk modelling. 

In Maths, we practised the composition of numbers 6,7,8 as well as 1 more and 1 less of a number.

Finally, we learnt about the importance of the Three Hierarchs – St. Basil the Great, St. John Chrysostom and St. Gregory the Theologian- the patron saints of Greek education and Greek literacy.
