Home Learning 09.10.26

This week has been a very creative week in Zakynthos.

In English we have been writing our own amazing poems, these were thoughtful detailed and lovely to read. We are now moving on to look at a book called the tree and the river this is a book with only pictures which we will use to produce some amazingly creative writing I am sure.

In maths as we move towards harder addition and subtraction sums and using exchanging to make solving questions easier we have been using dienes to support our understanding of place value and crossing from the tens to the 100’s and back.

In RE we learnt about St Cyprian and why is feast day is so important to us.

In art we have been looking at digital sketching.

In science we had great fun looking at the nutritional values on different packaging, we answered questions about what food would give us the most energy.

Thank you to those parents who have given their children an item for the Harvest festival. If you have not done so already please give your child an item to bring to school with them next week.

Our assembly will be on 22nd October which means we only have 2 weeks to practice. Next week I will be sending out lines for the children to practice at home.
