Hello all,
This has been a very busy week for Crete class, we worked hard on our final piece of writing, to create a ‘Walking Guide’ For people who would like to come and tour London. The children are making some really good progress in their handwriting and we are trying hard to focus on the spelling of our words.
In Maths, we have finished our unit on Mass, Capacity and temperature and our end of block assessments show that most children now have a strong understanding of these concepts and how to use them to answer questions.
Last week we done some amazing experiments in science and it has been fantastic to hear the children talking about what they learnt from them and working hard to record what they discovered in their books- they have also been working very hard to remember some challenging scientific vocabulary e.g Density and Viscosity.
We also went on our school trip to The London Eye. We were very lucky, the sun was shining and we had a brilliant day. The children really enjoyed looking out over London and spotting Landmarks that we had been learning about in class. They also got to play in a park just below the London eye.
We are looking forward to our last couple of weeks together before the Easter Holidays, learning about Holy week and preparing for our Easter Celebrations.
