Ithaca Class week ending 04.10.24

This week in Ithaca…

In Maths we have focused on rounding to the nearest 10, 100 and 1,000. The children were able to identify multiples of 10, 100 and 1,000 and use number lines to round to the nearest multiple.

In English, we have focused on using direct speech and writing a conclusion paragraph. The children looked at newspaper articles and considered what will happen next for the concluding paragraph using ‘inform openers’ to write an engaging conclusion.

In Science, we have learnt about the different types of teeth in animals. The children were able to recognise that differences in teeth relate to an animal’s diet.
