Ithaca Home Learning 24.10.25-05.11.25
Dear Parents and Carers of Ithaca Class,
Thank you all for your continued support throughout the course of the Autumn Term 1. We hope the children have had impactful moments that will continue to help shape their bright and budding futures. We hope they all have the opportunity to unwind over the half term and refocus for the Autumn term 2.
Maths – + = – During this half term, the children should continue to practice their times tables as this will be helpful and make a difference for their times table check. There was a general consensus of difficulty with subtraction of 4-digit numbers with more than one exchange. Over the half term, the children should have a little practice to continue to consolidate the knowledge they have learnt.
In English the children have been creating stories aimed at KS1, with the theme of resilience. Practicing pace, grammar and punctuation would be impactful for all this half term. For example, giving the children a timed task of creating a grammatical and well punctuated story. They can do this in their home learning books if they wish to.
Wishing you all a restful and enjoyable half term. We look forward to seeing you all in a weeks’ time!
Warm regards,
Mrs Durrant, Mrs Banitsiotis & Miss Neto
