Little Red 22.05.26

Dear Parents,

This week’s fairy tale was ‘Little Red Riding hood’ for nursery children and ‘The little Red and the Very Hungry Lion’ for reception children. Children discussed the feelings of little red’s and wolf’s and what they might say to each other. Reception children wrote speech bubbles to show how a character is feeling.

We also looked at similarities and differences between life in Africa and our own. Using “Little Red and the Very Hungry Lion”, children learnt about: African landscapes (savannah, jungle) and how children live in different parts of the world.

In Maths, we focused on Sharing & Grouping– even and odd sharing as well as play and build doubles.

In RE, we looked at the bible story ‘Noah’s Arc’ and recognised that God protected Noah, his family and the animal.
