Spetses Week ending 16.05.25

This week, in English, we concluded our unit on  instructional writing. We planned a journey for a reader to follow the instructions to complete. Then we wrote a draft, which we carefully edited before publishing to make a class book of Journeys.

In Maths, we continued our unit on decimals; hundredths as fractions, hundredths as decimals, hundredths on a place value chart and halves and quarters as decimals.

In Science, we  continued the unit on ‘ Sound and Vibration’. We conducted investigations to understand how volume and pitch is measured. We also conducted an investigation about insulation, where we tested different materials to see which ones insulate sound the best.

In RE, we focused on the feast days of St Helen and St Constantine and the Ascension Feast Day.
