The Arctic – 16/01/25

Dear Parents,

This week we have been learning about the Arctic and how it differs. We read the book ‘Lost and Found’ by Oliver Jeffers and children created a mind map of words that described the arctic. We introduced Antarctica and what it is like there in terms of weather and animals. The children also used clay to create their own penguins.

During R.E, we explored how God made winter and looked at how the weather changes during this season.

In Maths, we looked at 1 more and 1 less of a number as well as the concept of composition.

Children also had fun playing in the Space Station, pretending to be astronauts.
