The Enormous Turnip – 20.03.26

Dear Parents,

This week we have been learning all about root vegetables through the story of ‘The enormous turnip’. Reception children described their favourite character of the story using adjectives and conjunctions. The children also created a vegetable collage using tissue paper.

In maths, we explored odd and even numbers to 20.

In RE, we looked at different saints and how these are God’s special friends. We went for a walk around the school and spotted different saints.

We have also started learning about the Holy Week and about some Greek Orthodox Traditions. This week the children started decorating their Epitafio, made lazarakia as well as dyed red eggs.

A reminder that on Monday, reception children will be going on a trip. Please ensure that your child comes to school with their blue uniform and their blue school bag.
