Three Little Pigs- 29.05.26

Dear Parents,

This week’s fairytale stories were ‘The three little pigs’ (nursery) and ‘Pigs might Fly’ (reception). We loved both stories and children had to write about their favourite part of each book.

We explored the differences between planes and helicopters and what makes them fly. Using junk modelling the children created their own planes and helicopters using features such as blades and wings.

In Maths, we looked at what a pattern is. Children had the opportunity to create their own repeating patterns as well as spotting patterns in their classroom environment.

In RE, we explained what Ascension is – the time when Jesus returns to heaven and the promise of the Holy Spirit’s descent on Pentecost/ 40 days after Jesus was resurrected.

Important changes:

Starting on the 9th of June we are changing our afternoon pick up routine. Morning drop off will remain the same. Afternoon pick up will be from the main playground. This is to prepare children for their transition in Reception and Year 1.
