Yeae 3 Home Learning-25.09.26
Hello all,
Again we have had a very busy week in year 3 with some very lovely weather.
In English we have been writing our final copies of our own stories based on the work of a familiar author. Some of these were excellent with some very detailed vocabulary. Next week we will begin working on our second book ‘The magic box’ .
In Maths we have finished our unit on ‘Place Value’ and are moving on to cover addition and subtraction. Please do ensure that your children are at least attempting the Maths shed lessons as these coincide with what we are learning in school.
In RE we ave been thinking about who God shows his love to and how? and have also worked on understanding the Jewish festival of Rosh Hashanah.
In art we are beginning to develop better shading techniques and working on shading from light to dark.
In history we continued to learn about ~Nelson Mandela and the apartheid. We are beginning to think about how living in this way would have impacted peoples lives and how the rules set by the government were unfair.
We had our second swimming lesson this week and there has already been progress in some of the children.
Please see our home learning below.
