Year 2 Home Learning-09.01.26

Welcome back and Happy new year to you all.
The children have settled well into the new term.

In English we have started our new story Rapunzel- We red two different versions of the story and thought about how they were different from each other.

In maths we have begun our topic on money. We have learnt to recognise and count using coins ad notes.

In Geography we have started to learn about the UK and where we live. we are going to be looking at maps and atlases and talking about the different capital cities and where we live.

In DT we will be creating a mechanical moving monster.

Home learning task.

This week for your home learning we would like you to create a map. This map must include the 4 countries within the U.K Their capital cities and also some of their famous tourist attractions. You may choose to complete this in your purple home learning book. However, it would be nice to have some poster or projects that can go on display in the class.
