Year 2 Home learning 16.01.26
This week has been a busy week.
In English we have been focusing on the story of Rapunzel. We have been thinking about how we can make our writing more interesting for the reader, to help them create an image when reading a story. Lots of the children in Year 2 have really been focusing and improving their handwriting so well done to them. We have also practised some reading comprehension as a class this week.
In Maths we have been working on using different coins to make the same amount, adding money to find a total and calculating the difference between two amounts.
The children have particularly enjoyed our DT lessons this week where we have been using linkages and levers to begin creating moving mechanisms. They have also enjoyed computing, where they have been given the opportunity to use laptops and learn some basic skills of typing and using Word to edit a document.
