Year 2 Home learning
Hello all
This week has been a very productive week with lots of focus on grammar in our English lessons. In maths we have begun the tricky topic of time and many of the children have taken a keen interest in not only answering questions during their lessons but also telling the time throughout the day.
Thank you to all those parents who attended the SATs meeting on Thursday, I understand that some parents had work commitments or were unable to make it for other reasons. The office will be sending out the PowerPoint that was used in the meeting and if there are any more questions regarding this please do come and see your child’s class teacher.
This week for home learning we have given your child a grammar worksheet to complete that covers conjunctions. Your children know what these are and we have worked on making our sentences longer by connecting different clauses. Please complete these sheets and return them by Wednesday. You may stick them into your purple home learning books if you wish or just return the sheet as it is. You still have ed shed spellings (which are focused on our suffix -ed spellings) and maths shed; please ensure you complete these.
We hope you enjoy this beautiful sunny bank holiday weekend.
