Year 5- 07.03.2025
Dear Year 5,
We’ve had a fantastic start to our school term with a strong focus on making improvements in our handwriting and presentation as well as focusing on the content of our learning.
In English we have been learning about characters from our class book The Night Bus Hero by Onjali Q.Rauf. We have written character profiles and points of view.
In Maths our focus has been fractions and decimals. We explored ones, tenths, hundredths and thousandths. We also learnt about equivalent fractions and decimals using number lines.
We have also learnt about the Greek Orthodox celebration of Clean Monday and flown our beautiful kites. Superb effort Year 5!
Thank you to those children who completed the project over the half term. Well done! Fantastic models and leaflets are displayed in our classes.
Many thanks to our parents and carers who joined us for World Book Day 2025 and for helping with Ydra’s class trip to Fulham Palace where pupils gained further knowledge about the Anglo-Saxons and the Vikings. Much appreciated!
Please see the home learning below and the attached letter.
