Year 5, week ending 01.05.26
This week…
In English, we focused on using colons to introduce a list and to draw the readers attention, before moving on to plan an explanation text (survival guide). We then completed the drafting process, proofread and edited our guides.
In Maths, we focused on: calculating angles around a point, calculating angles on a straight line, lengths and angles in shapes and regular and irregular polygons.
In RE, we learnt about becoming Christians through baptism and Chrismation and forgiveness through repentance.
In Science, we learnt about air resistance and its effects. We also worked scientifically to plan a fair test to investigate air resistance.
In Geography, we focused on locating and describe the significance of the Great Barrier Reef.
Next week; we need cardboard boxes for our art.
