Year 6 week ending 11.09.26
Hello Parents and Carers,
I hope you have had a good week!
In English, the children have been using figurative language and descriptive devices to describe images from our book ‘Wisp’. They all wrote amazing free-form poems today and should all be very proud of themselves.
We have been continuing our topic of Place Value in Maths, and have been looking at numbers to different powers of 10, multiplying/dividing by 10,100,1000 and comparing and ordering integers.
In RE, the children have been learning about what a rite of passage is and how they are celebrated.
A quick reminder that our PE days are Monday and Thursday, and children are to come in to school wearing their PE kits on those days.
Please make sure your child is reading everyday and changing their books as often as possible.
I hope you have a great weekend,
Mrs Clarke-Benson
