Zakynthos Class Home Learning – Week Ending 01.05.26

Dear Parents, Carers,

This week in English, we continued with our unit ‘Persuasive Letters’.  The children explored three radio adverts to identify what persuasive devices had been used and how and they coloured coded the persuasive features listed in each radio transcript.  The children had to construct two paragraphs of their advert in their groups of threes and then they had to decide on a topic for their own persuasive letter, along with the intended audience.

In Maths, we started a new topic, ‘Money’ and focused on Pounds and pence, Convert pounds and pence, Added money and Subtracted money.

In Science, the children had to draw a plant, label parts of a plant then write about the function of each part.

In RE, we continued with our unit ‘Rules’ and looked at how rules help us live well together and how rules at home help families live a good life.
