Zakynthos Class Home Learning – Week Ending 15.05.26

Dear Parents, Carers,

This week in English, the children focused on editing, proof reading and finally published their Persuasive Letter.

In Maths, we continued with our new unit ‘Time’. We looked at Read time on a digital clock, Use am and pm and Years, months and days.

In RE, we completed the unit ‘Love Means Obeying Rules’ and looked at how Jesus taught us to obey God’s Commandments. We started looking at anther religion, Islam and the children wrote some facts about what they learnt.

In Science, we looked at ‘How does air affect plant growth?’ The children were shown two of the same plants , they were labelled A and B and one plant was covered in a clear plastic bag and tied. They were both placed in the same suitable growing environment and will be watered with the same regularity. The children will be recording or draw what they see each day.

In PSHE, we focused on a third and final lesson on Beyond Gender Stereotype.
