Zakynthos Class – Week Ending 13.06.25

This week in Zakynthos …..

In English, the children started a new book called ‘Alice in Wonderland’.  They first explored a map in pairs, looking at different places and characters and record what they saw. They then role played the character of Alice and wrote on speech bubbles what Alice was like and her thoughts.  They also drew a simple map of the White Rabbits journey using prepositions and wrote a paragraph to explain the Rabbit’s journey. Then also focused on adding dialogue to their paragraph and looked at another setting tin the story.

In Maths, we started a new unit ‘Time’.  The children looked at Roman numerals to 12,  telling the time to 5 minutes, telling the time to the minute and to read time on a digital clock.

In  RE, which we focused a lot on due tho the inspection, the children had a good understanding of ‘What Makes a Good Leader and we looked at how people communicated with God.
