Zakynthos Class – Week Ending 14.03.25

This week in Zakynthos Class.…

In English,  we focused on learning about the features of an information text and we based the text around Sir Isaac Newton. We also began to look at explanation texts, where the children explored the features and had an opportunity to underline what they thought were the features in a text.

In Maths, we continued our unit on Fractions, where the children learnt equivalent fractions on a number line, equivalent fractions as a bar model.  They also focused on adding and subtracting fractions.

In science, we looked at how electrical appliances are powered, they drew simple symbols and labelled the for a circuit and wrote about Newton’s laws of motion.
