Zakynthos Class – Week Ending 28.02.25

I hope you all had a wonderful and restful half term and are looking forward to the Easter Celebrations that St Cyprian’s do so well.

In Zakynthos Class this week……..

In English, the children started to look at features of holiday brochures. The researched and made notes about the local area and began to look closely at persuasive writing, how adjectives can be used to write enticing descriptions.

In Maths, the children began a new unit on fractions; to understand denominators, compare & order unit fractions, understand numerators and learnt to understand the whole.

In Geography, we started our new unit ‘Settlements’ with map work; locating our local area and beginning to use the OS legend to identify land use for the local area.
