Dinosaurs – What do they eat?
This week we have been learning:
About things that dinosaurs like to eat. We read a book called ‘Tyrannosaurs Drip’. The T-rex’s like eating meant and the others like eating vegetables. We have been feeding dinosaurs this week thinking about what size the food is and if its meat or veg.
In phonics this week we have started learning the sounds of the alphabet. This week we have learnt the sounds m, a, s, d, t and i. We used the sound objects to help us hear the sound and then practised writing them on a whiteboard.
In maths this week we have been exploring size. We have been measuring dinosaurs using cubes and finding out how many cubes tall each dinosaur is.
In RE this week we have been thinking about people that are special to us. We drew pictures of people that are special to us on a cross and hung them up for everyone to see.
In science this week we have been learning about Spring . Have have noticed Springtime happening outside, can you find any signs of spring at home? Can you see blossom on the trees? Can you see new leaves growing? Can you see flowers starting to grow? Are you wearing your hat and scarf outside now? We have also been exploring what inside and outside is using Kit and Pup.
This week we also continued our learning about staying safe when we are online. Can you sing the song?
Next week we will be learning:
- About Animals and where they live.
- Learning the sounds n, p, g, o, c, k and ck.
- Reading the story ‘Noah’s Ark’.
- Exploring magnets.
- Starting our Easter celebrations.
