Animals

This week we have been:

Reading the story Handa’s surprise. We have enjoyed retelling the story using masks and using the small world in the sand tray. We have also been tasting the different fruit from the story and enjoyed telling our own stories using the wild animals. We have been making shopping lists for Handa so that she can go and buy some new fruit for her friend Akeyo.

In maths this week we have been thinking about things in our class we can count. We had lots of fun counting objects and labelling them. We have also had lots of fun using our number block cubes! We have been making number block towers and comparing them.

In science we have been learning about how to grow flowers. We watched Kit and Pup and then made our own flowers we had fun making our own flower garden and singing Mary Mary quiet contrary.

In Re this week we have started our Easter learning by making our own egg cups. We will be continuing this learning over the next few weeks. We have also been learning about Gods first family, Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve were tricked into eating fruit from the tree of knowledge and were made to live in a horrible place. They wanted to make things right with God so they decided to make the first family, they had two sons Kane and Abel.

Next week we will be:

• Starting our Holy Week learning and celebrations.
• Continuing our animal topic through stories.
• Learning and exploring 3D shapes.
• learning about liquid and solid.
