Samos Class Blog 2/10
Hello from Year 4!
This week we have had a lot of fun celebrating 15 years of St Cyprian’s as well as learning about St Cyprian and St Justina.
We reflected on the story of St Cyprian and how he changed his life for the better.
As part of our celebrations we made origami flowers to take home.
Each child has been given a daffodil bulb to take home to grow, and we have made our own daffodil diaries to complete over the next few months as we watch our plants grow.
In numeracy this week we revisited partitioning, and solved problems involving money. We also began our learning on time, using 12 hour analogue clocks.
Literacy this week has again tied in with Ancient Greece and we have been considering non-fiction texts. We have explored the features of report writing and planned our own reports on Ancient Greece. We shall continue this next week as we complete our reports.
In topic we will continue to focus on Ancient Greece, and in Science we shall be focusing on the classification of living things.
Home learning can be found on mathletics and spellodrome. All the children have been given their login details again, so should all be able to access these.
Remember PE kits for Tuesday and Thursday.
Have a lovely weekend!
