Cyprus and Ithaca Blog: Week Beginning: 4.12.17  

Welcome back to Cyprus and Ithaca class,

We have had a very busy week revising topics in Literacy and Numeracy. We have also been very busy finishing off our learning for Topic on the Romans; so that we can get ready for Christmas!!!!!  

Your Homework challenge this week is to write a letter to Santa. You need to share with Santa all of your achievements this year and what you are proud of. You also need to include your New Year’s Resolutions and what you would like to achieve next year for 2018!!!

Please can parents focus on:

• Times Tables 2-12
• Mental maths and number operations using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Equivalent Fractions
• Converting Time from 12hr to 24hr and 24hr to 12hr

For Literacy please can parents focus on sentence writing and including:

• Punctuation
• Capital letters and full stops
• Exclamation marks, speech marks and commas
• Connectives ensuring that sentences make sense
