Week Ending – 07.07.23
Dear Parents, Carers,
This week in English, it has been Poetry Week. The children first looked at what rhyming words were and had the task of underlining the rhyming words in a poem. Then they had to write rhyming words to describe an animal and write a sentence for each rhyming word. They also had the opportunity to look at two different types of poems, an Acrostic poem (JUNGLE) and a Shape poem. In Maths, we started to look at multiplication, for RE. the children learnt about another New Testament story called Jesus healing the daughter of Jairus and for PSHE on our Healthy Topic, the children looked at keeping safe when crossing the road.
The children had a lovely surprise on Wednesday morning. They had a Circus Day, where they were able to use various equipment, like balancing a peacock feather on their hand, walked a tight rope and tried having a go at walking on stilts. What an amazing time they had!
