Week ending 13.10.23

Hello Parents and Carers,

It has been a lovely week. We have been focusing on the folk tale called ‘The Gift of the Cow Tail Switch’, and have used our English sessions to tell our peers about the the special gifts that we have been given.

In Maths, we have been using our knowledge of addition and subtraction to learn about partitioning numbers and different number families.

In Geography we focused on the continent of Africa and all of the amazing food, animals and landscapes that are there. And in Science we looked at living and non-living things and the different features of a living thing.

Wax resistant painting is the focus of our Art topic, and we have been creating our own wax resistance art.

We also had a lovely workshop on Thursday that was all about kindness and how we can make the world a happier place. During this workshop we made some art for someone that we wanted to feel happy, so look out for some of the art work that has been sent home today.

You will have seen that there are new poem books in your children’s bags, these are to read with your child and they can decorate these poems and bring them in by Wednesday.

We hope you have a lovely weekend,

Miss Rashti and Miss Weithers
