Year 1 week ending 6.5.22

Dear parents,

This week, year 1 focused on describing the characters from our class story: The lighthouse keeper’s lunch using adjectives. We also continued to practice ordinal numbers and knowing our left and right. Along with, having a go at writing instructions independently to know whether their instructions were clear enough when making the jam sandwich. The children understood that it is important to write clear steps to follow when writing instructions.

Please continue to practice handwriting with your child using cursive letter formations and encourage them to practice their sounds daily.
